Since 2001, I have been specialising in rich media, the web, user interaction and print projects. I’ve led award-winning projects for a selection of UK and international clients, from both corporate and commercial sectors. With over eight years experience in the design industry, I can design a simple or complex solution from scratch, design online and offline branding, and optimise existing platforms for usability and accessibility.
How I work
I aim to create delightful experiences and great looking user interfaces, brands and campaigns that communicate their message clearly and effectively, using the appropriate technology with the focus always on the user.

Over the past 3 years Metia (formally know as Write Image) has undergone a huge transformation from being a software and PR agency to becoming industry evangelists in new technologies and virtual experiences. This is the launch site for Microsoft’s New Efficiency group of products, most notably including Windows 7. The virtual launch event was streamed to the planet in September and is now available for visitors to check out the presentations and the huge volume of launch related content and resources that are available. I created the GUI and illustrated elements against the existing brand.
The portal includes live video feeds and virtual exhibiton environments including stands and interactive libraries.User Interface Design, Illustration, Graphic Design2012 -
SQL Challenge was one of my first campaigns at metia. This promotion included a interactive ‘game’ where users are encouraged to break a code.
The content of the website was largely based around SQL tutorials and interactive presentations. These were presented as cards that could be flipped around, expanded and turned with no limit to the number of sides to each card.Information Architecture, User Interface Design, Storyboarding2012 -
iSOFT wanted a video to demonstrate their healthcare product, LORENZO. I took an agnostic approach to the animation style to appeal to global audiences.
The story began as a complex sequence of events demonstrating their software tool which allows healthcare organisations to share data. During the storyboarding process, i removed the unnecessary technical and medical jargon, and drew focus on the product’s ease of use, efficiency, and life enhancing features.
The Video was used at iSOFT’s exhibitions and features on their website.Animation, Storyboarding, Illustration2012 -

I created this simple animation style and logo to explain a new carbon offsetting scheme by lastminute.com and Climate Care.
The idea was a huge success which led to a number of public exhibits and an additional 1 million printed ready reckoners’ being distributed in the Sunday Times. This campaign has since been taken on by US Travelocity, European and Australian lastminute.com sites. The idea won innovation of the year at the Travel awards 2007.
There were three main elements to the online campaign;

The Briefs. L’Oreal issued 22 separate briefs to market their products in 2008, each targeted to a different female audience. I developed a 3 tiered response so that each product could be allocated to the appropriate magazine website. This featured content would then lead to interactive components such as a 3D product feature or a fashion video about hair.
These components will be housed within a campaign microsite called “Shopping in Paris” where users will navigate through a traditional animated parisian street and enter shops detailing these products and interactive features.User Interface Design, Web Design, Illustration2012 -
